Mr. Clyde Elbert Bunch, Jr., age 71, a resident of 204 Iron Creek Drive, Washington, NC, died Monday afternoon, June 18, 2007, at Beaufort County Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2007, at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home in Washington officiated by Pastor Phillip Hayes. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Morris Jones, Kirk Blackmon, Cameron Bunch, Reggie Barnacascel, Vance Bell and Vincent Bunch will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Bunch was born in Chowan County on May 25, 1936, son of the late Clyde E. Bunch, Sr. and Ruth Copeland Bunch. He was a 1954 graduate of Chowan High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Berlin Crisis. On April 14, 1960, he married the former Ann Elizabeth Barnacascel who survives. Mr. Bunch was manager and agent of American General Life and Casualty Insurance. After retirement, you could find him at Piggly Wiggly with a smile and cheerful greeting for everyone.
In addition to his wife, Ann of the home, he is survived by his son: Stephen Craig Bunch and his wife, Joyce of Washington; two grandchildren: Cameron and Brandon Bunch and his sister: Iris Bunch of Edenton.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Paul Funeral Home in Washington and other times at the home.
