Ms. Minnie Mosella Hill Owens, 92, died Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Columbia, with the Rev. James H. Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ms. Owens was born in Tyrrell County on June 16, 1915. She was the daughter of the late Margaret R. and James E. Hill. She had been employed as a cook in a restaurant.
Survivors include one son, Wilbert D. Owens Jr. of Virginia; four daughters, Helen T. Manns and Oressa Gilliam, both of Jersey City, N.J., Vivian Owens of Columbia, and Louella Pittman of Hampton, Va.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Rowsom Funeral Home, Columbia.
