GREENVILLE — Mr. Manley Harvey Edwards, 90, died Thursday, June 28, 2007.
The funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Edwards, born in Beaufort County, was a graduate of Aurora High School and attended two years of college. He served in the United States Coast Guard in WWII and was a mission pilot in the Civil Air Patrol in the 1950s. He has made his home in Greenville since 1947. He was the office manager of General Sales for a number of years and later owned a small business accounting firm, retiring in 1989. He was a member of The Memorial Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Iva Messick Edwards; sons, Robert “Bobby” Edwards of Greenville and Barry Edwards and his wife, Brenda, of Rocky Mount; daughter, Donna Edwards of Greenville; grandchildren, Brandi E. Holmes, Jennifer E. Radosevich and John Edwards; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 1510 SE Greenville Blvd., Greenville, NC 27858.
