Mr. Anthony Neal “Tony” Rose, 48, of Spring Hope, died Thursday, July 5, 2007.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Paul Funeral Home, Belhaven, with pastor Phillip Jethro officiating. Burial will follow in Oddfellow Cemetery. Tim Rose, Robert Wilkins, Chad Thomas, Tommy Respass, Charles Wilkins, Wayne Pugh, Jon Scott Rose Jr. and Ronnie Murray will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Rose was born in Belhaven on Sept. 6, 1958. He was the son of Mary Elizabeth Pugh Rose and the late James Dare Rose Sr. He was a graduate of John A. Wilkinson High School. On Feb. 23, 1985, he married the former Judy Cone, who preceded him in death Jan. 15, 2007. He was a member of the Ferrell Fire Department in Nash County and was employed as operations manager with Waste Industries for 11 years.
Survivors include two sons, William Neal Rose and Samuel Garrett Rose, both of Pinetown; three brothers, James Dare Rose Jr. of Douglas, Ga., Edward Dennis Rose of Belhaven, and Jon Scott Rose Sr. of Pinetown and one sister, Teresa Rose Ricks of Belhaven.
The family will receive friends today from 7-9 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home, Belhaven, and other times at Mr. Rose’s home in Pinetown, 1001 Beaver Dam Road.
