Ms. Loarine Ray Smith, 56, of 219 Frederick Road, Chocowinity, died Sunday, July 1, 2007, at Beaufort County Hospital, Washington.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Beach Grove Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Foxworth officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith No. 2 Cemetery, Chocowinity.
Ms. Smith was born in Beaufort County on Sept. 9, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Bryant Smith Sr. and Ella M. Howard Smith. She was a graduate of the former P.S. Jones High School. She was a member of Beach Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Nadia Keys of Groton, Conn.; three sons, Michael W. Keys Sr., Randolph Keys Jr. and Malcolm E. Smith, all of Chocowinity; five grandchildren; one sister, Anita J. Smith of Capital Heights, Md.; and three brothers, David Howard of Creswell, Bryant Smith Jr. of Greenville, and Bennie Smith of Smithfield.
A walk-in viewing will be held today from 1-7 p.m. at Whitfield &Whitley Funeral Home, Washington.
The family will receive friends at the home.
