JOSEPH MAHUGH HARRELL, JR., 68, of 2933 McCaskey Road, died at his home on Friday, July 20, 2007. He was the son of the late Ruby V. Keller. He was a retired Supervisor with Wonder Bread. After retirement, he enjoyed working in construction and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of West End Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Peggy Overton Harrell; two sons, Jeff and wife, Angela, Mike and wife, Crystal; two daughters, Rona H. Coltrain and husband, Eddie, Emily Harrell and fiance, David Leary, all of Williamston; one brother, Gene Murphy and wife, Connie of Knightdale; ten grandchildren, Jeffery, Matthew, and Kimberly Harrell; Brandie, Kerrie, Kacie, and Kortnie Coltrain, Jackson Harrell, Austin Joyner, Sam Raby, and one godchild, Necole Griffin Ambrose.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 23, 2007 at West End Baptist Church with the Rev. Tony Warren and the Rev. Jason Lineberger officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Walker Funeral Home in Williamston.
Flowers will be accepted, memorial gifts may be made to Relay for Life and Williamston Fire and Rescue. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
