Mrs. Thora Jenkins Whitehead, 88, formerly of Lewiston-Woodville, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007 at The Fountains at the Albemarle in Tarboro.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Episcopal Churchyard in Lewiston-Woodville.
Mrs. Whitehead was born in Bertie County on Nov. 11, 1918, to the late Esten and Pattie Walston Jenkins. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Green Whitehead Sr.
Survivors include her son, Joseph Green Whitehead Jr., and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, today from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
