Mr. Avery Von Hilton, Jr., 64, of 249 Moore Lane, Chocowinity, died Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Beaufort County Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2007 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service with Pastor James Spencer officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Hillside Funeral Service and other times at the home.
Mr. Avery was born January 9, 1943 in Beaufort County. He was the son of the late Avery Von Hilton, Sr. and Lou Ellen Hales Hilton. On October 30, 1968, he married the former Brenda Barber. Mr. Hilton was a retired worker from Elks Septic Tank Co. He was a member of Chocowinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Brenda Barber Hilton; one daughter, Melissa Hilton Adams, and her husband, Timothy of Chocowinity; one brother, Ed Hilton and his wife, Edna of Chocowinity; and two grandchildren, Courtney Hodges and Bailey Adams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Hilton.
