WILLIAMSTON — Mr. Clyde Delmus “Dell” Holliday, 80, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at Martin General Hospital. A graveside service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Martin Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Margie Teachey and the Rev. Calvin Trueblood officiating.
Mr. Holliday was the son of the late J.D. and Pattie Gurganus Holliday. He was a retired farmer and Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his brothers Edward “Pudge” Holliday, Sammy Holliday, Joe Holliday and sisters Grace Biggs, Evelyn Peaks, Vesta Roberson and a grandchild Herley Jane Holliday.
He is survived by his wife Frances R. Holliday, sons Ray Holliday and wife Cecilia of Williamston and Kenneth Holliday and wife Jeanie of Everetts, daughters Pam Holliday and Brenda H. Keel and husband Snookie all of Williamston, brothers Dick Gurganus, Tom Holliday and Jimmy Holliday all of Williamston, sisters Barbara Bowen and Pat Taylor both of Williamston, grandchildren Tonya Leggett, Chad Holliday, Michael Keel, Andy Holliday, Emily Holliday, great-grandchildren Tara Leggett, Ryan Leggett, Nelson Leggett, Caleb Holliday and Hayden Holliday.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence 3010 Prison Camp Road.
