Mrs. Bessie Johnson Warrick 92, of 4683 Buffalo Road, Selma, died Saturday, August 18, 2007, at Britthaven of Washington.
Born in Smithfield, November 13, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Mellie and Ethel Tart Johnson.
She was married to Luby Daniel Warrick who preceded her in death. Mrs. Warrick was a faithful member of the Johnston Union Free Will Baptist Church and ladies Auxiliary. During her life, she was a loving wife and mother. She worked in her own business, Warrick Drapery.
She was known for her flower gardens and home baked goods. Most of all, she was a faithful servant to the Lord, having a humble spirit.
Funeral services will be held at the Johnston Union Free Will Baptist Church, Tuesday August 21 at 11 a.m. with Al Warrick officiating, burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are: one daughter-in-law; Sue Warrick of Clayton; one son-in-law, Bill Farrow of Engelhard; two sisters, Margaret J Waggoner of Raleigh and Diamond J Mathews of Buies Creek; three grandchildren, Blair and Jeffrey Beard of Engelhard, Todd and Kristy Warrick of Wake Forest, Kelly and Ronnie Brinson of New Bern; eight great-grandchildren: Aaron Beard, Ethan Beard, Ian Job Beard, Landon Warrick, Meredith Warrick, Ava Suzanne Brinson, Jessie Daniel Brinson, George Hunter Brinson.
She was preceded in death by a son William Daniel Warrick; a daughter Melba W Farrow; and infant daughter; one brother Edwin Hugh Johnson and three sisters Mary Barbour Benson, Ruby Johnson and Susie J Barbour.
The family will receive friends, on Monday evening, at the Warrick home, 4683 Buffalo Road, Selma.
