Mrs. Hazel Cherry Johnson, 93, a resident of 20029 N.C. Highway 903, Robersonville, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at her home.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Gold Point Church of Christ, Robersonville, with the Revs. Chris Minton and James Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Johnson was born June 15, 1914, in Everetts. She was the daughter of the late John Cherry and Sally Cherry. She was a member of Gold Point Church of Christ. She was a certified nurses aide. She retired from Hamilton Baptist Home. She was married to Jim E. Johnson, who preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 1972.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Johnson of Gold Point; a daughter, Peggy J. Gardner of Jamesville; two sisters, Mary Alice Stalls of Everetts and Ruby Daniels of Cary; a brother, Mack Cherry of Norfolk, Va.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Gold Point Church of Christ’s fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gold Point Church of Christ, 8563 Hassell Road, Robersonville, NC 27871.
