Jeannine Lescure Moss

Jeannine Lescure Moss, 82, of Winston-Salem, died Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Graham Moss. Mr. and Mrs. Moss lived in France for many years and in Winston-Salem for the past 20 years. Mr. Moss was a native of Washington.
Jeannine Juliette Paula Lescure was born May 25, 1925 in Avignon, France. She was the daughter of Etienne Victor Auguste Lescure and Jeanne Adorine Fernande Florence Mariotte Lescure. She completed Convent School in Avignon and studied in Paris after the war. A childhood friend introduced her to Frank Moss who was in Paris with the U.S. Army. They became best friends and were married in Avignon on October 20, 1953.
Mrs. Moss is survived by two nieces, Mary Stewart Moss Darden of Virginia Beach, Va. and Sara Moss Larkin of Greenville. She is also survived by her goddaughter, Monique Laplace Darraud, and her godson, Herv/ Laplace, of France.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice and acknowledgements sent to The Moss Family, c/o Paul Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889. There will be a graveside service for the family at Oakdale Cemetery in Washington.
