Mrs. Velma Lilley Carstarphen, 94, of Williamston, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 29 at Woodlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Horton officiating.
Mrs. Carstarphen was born March 16, 1913 in Martin County, the daughter of the late John Daniel Lilley and the late Lucy Corey. She married Frank Fagan Carstarphen on Dec. 2, 1935. She was a member of the Church of the Advent. She was retired from a career in retail sales.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Fagan C. Pruden of Morehead City and Franki C. Anderson of Greenville; two sisters, Thelma L. Blackmore of Williamston and Evelyn Olschner of Morehead City; one brother, J.D. Lilley of Littleton, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. today at Biggs Funeral Home.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Church of the Advent or to a charity of choice.
