Mrs. Daisy Modlin Holliday Taylor, 86, of 1290 Water St., Jamesville, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Jamesville Christian Church with the Rev. Doug Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor was born Sept. 7, 1921, the daughter of the late Lonnie and Deborah Stubbs Modlin. On June 9, 1940, she married Samuel Henry Holliday, who preceded her in death May 2, 1985. On Dec. 15, 1992, she married Grover Taylor, who preceded her in death May 3, 1995. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Jamesville Christian Church.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Holliday and wife Rebecca of Williamston, Randy Holliday and wife Sheila of Jamesville and Philip Taylor and wife Jane of Washington; two daughters, Peggy Wallace and husband Heber of Pantego and Fay Jones and husband Carroll of Jamesville; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Elbert and Henry Modlin and sisters, Maude Logan, Addie Ange and Bernice Squires.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Jamesville Christian Church and other times at the residence.
