Mr. Laurie L. “Buddy” Fillingame, 64, of Calico, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Wilkerson Funeral Home, Vanceboro.
Mr. Fillingame was born in Craven County and lived much of his life in Vanceboro. For the past 30 years he lived in the Calico community. He was married to Linda Sutton Fillingame, who survives. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Hilton Fillingame of Cove City and Gregory Powers of Chocowinity; one sister, Lunette Buck of Vanceboro; and six grandchildren.
