Mr. Halstead Paul Jones Sr., age 61, 31026 NC Hwy. 33 E. Aurora, died Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at his home.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Dublin Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Aurora and will be conducted by Pastors Bud and Taffy Hopkins and Pastor John Hooten.
Mr. Jones was born in Beaufort Co. on September 28, 1946 to the late Carl Bonner Jones Sr. and Eula Mae Alligood Jones. He was a graduate of Aurora High School.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Janice Ireland, 1 son, Paul Jones Jr. and his wife Michele P. Jones of Aurora, 3 grandchildren, Kirk Bennett, Kayla Jones, Cassie Jones, 1 great-grandson, Alex Bennett, 1 stepson, Wade Ireland of the home, 1 step daughter, Tammy Ireland of Bayboro, 1 sister, Diane Hopkins of Washington, 1 brother, Carl B. Jones Jr. of Aurora, many nieces and nephews and his very dear friend Jimmy Potter of Aurora. Mr. Jones was also preceded in death by 1 brother, Joseph Jones.
The family will receive friends at the home 31026 NC Hwy. 33 E. Aurora, NC 27806.
