Mr. Kenneth Clark Rickard, 53, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at Nassau University Medical Center in New York.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Rowsom Funeral Home, Columbia, with the Rev. James H. Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Rickard was born in Tyrrell County on Feb. 22, 1954. He was the son of the late Lillian Spencer and Romulus Rickard. He had been employed as a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth M. Rickard of Columbia; one brother, James E. Rickard of Boston; five sisters, Sylvia Rickard, Shirley Rickard, Cinda Rickard and Emily McDonald, all of New York, and Barbara Stallsworth of Florida; and three grandchildren.
