YEATESVILLE — Daquan Daniels and Washington’s third quarter energy boosted the Pam Pack to a victory over Northside Friday night.
After a sluggish first half, Washington outscored Northside 28-12 in the third quarter en route an 82-69 victory.
Washington scored as many points in the third quarter as Northside did in the entire first half.
After holding a 37-28 halftime lead, the Pam Pack scored the first 10 points of the second half as part of an 18-2 run.
Northside ended Washington’s scoring surge halfway through the third quarter and mounted a comeback.
The Panthers outscored Washington (2-1) 29-17 in the final quarter, but never got the lead below double-digits.
Northside cut the lead to 11 points halfway through the fourth quarter, but a three-pointer by Daniels with 4:06 left put the game away.
Daniels finished with 31 points on the night.
Washington girls win
The Pam Pack’s pressure defense was too much for Northside Friday night.
Washington (3-1) created a slew of turnovers and turned them into easy points on the other end in its 58-33 victory.
Davey Ann Burbage led the Pam Pack with 18 points.
Washington has matched its win total from last season just four games into this year’s schedule.
The Pack returns to action Tuesday at home against Williamston.
