Mrs. Ellen Louvadia Ambrose Everett, age 85, a resident of 111 Everett Community Road, Pinetown, NC died Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Britthaven of Washington.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 7, 2007 at Everett’s Church of Christ with Dennis Davis officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Hwy 264 East, Washington, N.C.
Mrs. Everett was born in Beaufort County on March 29, 1922, daughter of the late David Franklin Ambrose and Annie Ella Silverthorne Ambrose. She married the late Golden Miles Everett on February 3, 1939. Mrs. Everett was an employee of the Samson Shirt Factory for 17 years and a nurses assistant at the Beaufort County Hospital for 17 years. She was an active member of the Everett’s Crossroads Church of Christ where she sang in the choir and was a piano accompanist.
Mrs. Everett was preceded in death by her husband Golden Miles Everett in 1998, a son Danny Lee Everett in 1973, a brother Ernest E. Ambrose in 1980, a sister Annie Christine Ambrose in 1935 and a granddaughter Kimberly Michele Everett in 1994.
Survivors include two daughters, Ellen E. Schwartz of Pinetown, and Jeanette E. Ryan of Washington; two sons, Golden Mitchell Everett of Washington and Nelson Taylor Everett of Tarboro; four sisters, Elva A. Bowen of Plymouth, Mavis A. Mohorn of Bath, Pauline A. Windley of Pinetown, and Jackie A. Boyd of Chocowinity; one brother, J. Franklin “Frankie” Ambrose of Washington; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be the grandchildren, Steven Boyd of Roanoke, VA, Andy Everett of Washington, Jason Everett of Washington, Karen Harrell of Waxhaw, NC, Paul Ryan of Tallahoma, TN and Resha Ryan of Washington.
Flowers are welcome and appreciated or the family asks that memorial contributions be sent in her name to the Everett’s Crossroads Church of Christ, 48 South Whitepost Road, Pinetown, NC 27865.
