Mrs. Marguerite A. Spain, 84, of 250 Lover’s Lane and formerly of Route 4, Box 143, Washington, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at Britthaven of Washington.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Pamlico Memorial Gardens with Mike Huppmann officiating.
Mrs. Spain was born in Beaufort County on May 11, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Eddie F. and Sudie Cayton Alligood. On Feb. 20, 1945, she married Luther L. Spain Jr., who preceded her in death May 4, 1988. She was employed at Hospital Pharmacy for 27 years. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy R. Spain of Washington and one sister, Elouise Crandall of Robersonville.
