Louisana B. Armistead

Mrs. Louisana Boomer Armistead, 86, of 7712 Long Ridge Road, Plymouth, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Antioch Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ), Terra Ceia Road, Pantego, with Elder Mack Freshwater officiating. Burial will follow in Broad Creek Community Cemetery.
Mrs. Armistead was born in Beaufort County on Aug. 5, 1921. She was the daughter of the late John Leamon and Addie Mann Boomer. She attended the Beaufort County Schools. She was married to Henry Armistead, who preceded her in death. She was retired, having worked as a restaurant cook and a farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Theodore R. Wilson of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Richard L. Windley of Virginia Beach, Va.; one brother, Harold Boomer Sr. of Pantego; four sisters, Pecola Collins and Petronia Selby, both of Pantego, Julia Boomer of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Ercle Boomer of Raleigh; five grandchildren and several great-grandchilden.
She was preceded in death by two sons, George R. Wilson and Willie Pittman Jr.; five brothers, Ezekiel Boomer, John Leamon Boomer Jr., Carroll Boomer, Moses Boomer and Nathaniel Boomer and three sisters, Delzora Winfield, Mary Simpson and Martha Credle.
The family will receive friends at the home.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
