Rev. William “Billy” David Whichard, 68, died Dec. 21, 2007. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, at Biggs Funeral Chapel in Williamston.
Rev. Whichard was the son of Jarvis Harvy and Bessie Roebuck Whichard. He married Lois Bullock in 1978. He was a retired mechanic with Burroughs Wellcome.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Ruth Ann Whichard of Williamston; Cynthia Palmiter of Goldston, N.C.; sons David Whichard of Rocky Mount and Kenny Whichard of Roanoke Rapids; sisters Leona Cherry of Bethel, Jeanette White of Virginia Beach, Va. and Margaret Nelson of Greenville; brothers Russell Whicard of Greenville, Linwood Whichard of Winterville and Joseph Whichard of Virginia Beach, Va., and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers Elbert and Jerry Whichard and sister Kathleen Briley.
