GRANTSBORO — Sudie Margaret Paul Woodard, 91, died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Craven Regional Medical Center. She had retired from Seashore Bus Company after 34 years.
Mrs. Woodard was a member of Edward Christian Church and Pamlico County Women of the Moose.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 4 at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wesley Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Greenleaf Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. Friday, just prior to the service and other times at the home of her daughter, Suzette Nesbit, 409 Bergin Road, Aurora.
She is survived by one son, Jules Hugo Woodard and wife Lorraine of Grantsboro; three daughters, Linda K. Whorton of Greenville, Vicki Jones and husband Carl of Aurora and Suzette Nesbit and husband Harry of Aurora; two sisters, Mattie Pearl Williamson and Dorothy Hardison both of Arapahoe; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Victor H. Woodard and a great-great-grandson.
Mrs. Woodard lived long, laughed often and loved a lot.
Flowers are welcome, but those who prefer are asked to make memorials to a favorite charity.
