Mrs. Elizabeth Acklin Williams, 86, of 327 Fisher Village Apts. No. 14, Aurora, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Hooker Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Whitehurst Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born in Beaufort County on March 16, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Recie A. Acklin. She attended the Beaufort County Schools. She was married to George Williams Sr., who preceded her in death. She was a member of Saint Hooker Baptist Church.
Survivors include seven daughters, Mary Ephraim of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., Ella Grimes and Deborah Grimes, both of Aurora, Martha Moore, Elnora Grimes and Mary Grimes, all of Edward, and Linda Blango of Blounts Creek; four sons, Albert Williams of Aurora, Samuel Williams of Bridgehampton, N.Y., David Williams of Riverhead, N.Y., and Danny Ephraim of Fayetteville; 36 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, George Williams Jr. and one grandson, Earl Grimes Jr.
A walk-in visitation will take place today from 1-8 p.m. at Whitfield &Whitley Funeral Home, Washington.
The family will receive friends at the home.
