Mrs. Nina Louise Bennett Smith, 83, of 2552 McCaskey Road, Williamston, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at Martin General Hospital in Williamston.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Smith was born in Martin County on March 23, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Fannie Bland Bennett. She was married to Harry Jordan Smith, who preceded her in death. She was a retired shipping clerk with June Day Manufacturing. She was a member of Community Christian Church, where she was a member of the senior circle.
Survivors include one son, Randy Smith of Williamston; three brothers, Ronald Bennett and Gene Bennett, both of Williamston, and Jeff Bennett of Arkansas; one sister, Velma Coltrain of Williamston; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Williamston, and other times at the home of her brother, Ronald Bennett, 2262 McCaskey Road, Williamston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Williamston Senior Center.
