Mr. Ed Peele, age 85, of Washington, died Monday January 14, 2008 at Britthaven of Washington.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2008 at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, conducted by Derik Davis.
Mr. Peele was born in Martin County on August 11, 1922. He was the son of the late John G. Peele and Charlie Emma Waters Peele. Mr. Peele was a retired automobile mechanic. In his spare time, he loved to fish.
Mr. Peele was married to the former Lucille Harris, who preceded him in death, December 29, 2007.
He was a fine father to three children, Steve Peele of Pitt County, Charles Peele of New Orleans, LA and Dianne Rollins, who has preceded Mr. Peele in death.
In addition to his wife, daughter, and parents, Mr. Peele was preceded in death by four brothers, John Mariner Peele, Robert A. Peele, William B. Peele and Heber J. Peele.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Paul Funeral Home, Washington.
