Mr. Raymond Bruce Allen, age 37, of 789 Hwy. 99 N., Pantego died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Britthaven of Washington.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the Belhaven Community Cemetery and will be conducted by the Rev. Jim Bussell and the Rev. Doug Stokes.
Raymond was born in Beaufort Co. on February 23, 1970 to Bonner and Mary Hodges Allen, who survive. He graduated from Pungo Christian Academy and went on to earn his degree in Business and Investment from East Carolina University. He was a farmer with his family, he loved fishing and hunting and was a great fan of tractor pulls.
Survivors include his parents Bonner and Mary Hodges Allen, two brothers, Anthony Grant Allen and Michael Scott Allen all of Pantego, maternal grandparents, James and Sybil Hodges of Belhaven, several uncles and aunts, Paul Allen and wife Phyllis of Washington, Tom Allen and wife Roberta of Belhaven, Mary Frisbee and husband Randall of High Point, Janice Allen of Belhaven, Elizabeth Hodges of Belhaven and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Howard and Lillian Carowan Allen, and two uncles, Jimmy Hodges and R.H. Allen.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2008 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and other times at the home of his parents, 749 Hwy. 99 N., Pantego.
