Mr. Daniel Scott Brown, 45, of 223 Oak Branch Lane, Sanford, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Sanford Church of God with the Rev. Eugene Powers officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Church Cemetery.
Mr. Brown was born in Charlottesville, Va., son of the late Arthur Stanley Brown and Opal L. Brown.
Survivors include his mother, Opal L. Brown of Sanford; one daughter, Cynthia Brown of Sanford; two sons, Daniel Scott Brown II of Sanford and Reid Brown of Washington; one sister, Sharon Puryear of Sanford and several grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11 a.m. at the Sanford Church of God prior to the service.
Smith Funeral Home of Broadway is serving the Brown family.
