Infant Jacob Isaiah Rice, son of Melinda Houston Rice and Brendan Roy Rice, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A private graveside service will be conducted Saturday in Covenant Community Church cemetery with pastor Phillip Jethro officiating.
Survivors include three brothers, Joshua Caleb Houston, Tanner Braden Rice and Evan Christopher, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Johnnie L. Houston Sr. and Sandra P. Houston; paternal grandparents, Frank R. and Linda K. Rice; maternal great-grandparents, James and Martha Fleming and paternal great-grandmother, Carol Klaassen.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfather, Alfred “Bill” Klaassen.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Service, Washington, and other times at the home of Johnnie and Sandra Houston, 2158 Ephesus Church Road, Blounts Creek.
