Alvis Eugene Swindell, 66, of 6684 E. Wilson St., Fountain, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at home.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fountain Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery in Belhaven.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen of the home; two daughters, Debra Booth and Penny Burke; two sons, Otis Eugene Swindell and Davey Lee Swindell; a sister, Linda Massengill; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made to United Hospice, P.O. Box 201, Farmville NC 27262.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at home.
