Mrs. Mary “Carolyn” Foreman Cordon, age 64, a resident of 2323 Burbage Road, Bath, died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2008 at St. Clair’s Church of Christ, conducted by Craig Hagen and Rev. Linda Rowe. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Clint Davis, Jack Arliss Mason, Stephen Cordon, Billy Warren, Vince Smith, Howie Selby, Curtis Lee Foreman and Rex Burbage.
Mrs. Cordon was born in Beaufort County on November 14, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Hugh Gordon Foreman and Claudia Estelle Sawyer Foreman. Mrs. Cordon was a homemaker and a member of St. Clair’s Church of Christ.
On January 24, 1959, Mrs. Cordon married George Downing Cordon, Jr., who survives.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Georgie Selby and her husband, Timmy of Belhaven, Cathy Burbage of Bath; one son, Rodney Cordon of the home; two brothers, Charles Foreman and his wife, Marie of Bath, Curtis Foreman and his wife, Susan of New Bern; and five granddaughters, Bridgette Elzey, Brittany Burbage, Brooke Burbage, Caroline Elzey and Savanna Selby.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cordon was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Lee Foreman.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2008 at her home.
