Mrs. Marie Griffin Cobb, 88, of Williamston, died Saturday, March 15, 2008.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Biggs Chapel with the Rev. David Wyly officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Cobb was born August 25, 1919 in Martin County, daughter of the late Simon Claude Griffin and the late Annie Euzelia Whitley. She married Dillion S. Cobb, who preceded her in death in 2002. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Williamston Presbyterian Church and of the Williamston Woman’s Club.
Survivors include one sister, Pearl G. Ross of Williamston and one brother, S.C. Griffin Jr., also of Williamston.
The family will receive friends today from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dillion and Marie Cobb endowment fund of the Williamston Presbyterian Church.
