GREENVILLE — Mrs. Ruby Paul Odum, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Odum, a native of Greenville, was a graduate of Greenville High School. She was the office manager for Stafford Olds and Holt Olds with a combined service of over 45 years. She was a member of The Memorial Baptist Church. After her retirement, she enjoyed attending the AHOY senior exercise class and the Christian Women’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles Anderson Odum, parents, Charles Hassell and Hattie Webster Paul, brothers, Shelburn “Dick” Paul, Charles R. “Pete” Paul, Henry B. “Tommy” Paul, Ralph C. Paul, and Curtis Paul, and a sister in-law, Inez Paul.
She is survived by her: son, Charles Boyette “Chuck” Odum and wife, Beverly, of Gibsonville; grandson, Eric Laurence Odum, of Gibsonville; sisters, Alba Thorne P. Peede and husband, Hughes, of Greenville, and Nina P. Galloway and husband, Jim, of Greenville; sisters in-law, Christine Paul, Irene Paul, and Betty Paul, all of Greenville.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home.
