Mrs. Lerose Armstrong Morris, 87, of Columbia, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell, with the Rev. Leonard Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in Azalea Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Morris was born in Tyrrell County on April 25, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Avery and Darcus Patrick Armstrong. She was married to Raymond V. Morris, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Hope M. VanWinkle of Bryan, Texas, and Melba M. Spencer of Plymouth; two sons, James Avery Morris and Thomas Clifton Morris, both of Columbia; one brother, Charlie K. Armstrong of Spring Hope; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-9 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
