Mr. Thomas Gordon Roberson, 91, of 306 S. Main St., Robersonville, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. James O. Hagwood officiating. Burial will follow in Robersonville Cemetery.
Mr. Roberson was the son of the late Thomas and Lillian Smith Roberson. He was an Army veteran of World War II. In August 1947, he married Verna Corey, who preceded him in death. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Dare Merritt of Grimesland and Carol Roberson of Sneads Ferry; one stepdaughter, Joan Mobley of Clemmons; one stepson, Tom Manning of Umatilla, Fla.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home in Robersonville and other times at the home.
