Mr. Jeffery Carroll Hardison, 22, of 221 Roxie Reese Road, Plymouth, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Walker Funeral Home chapel in Williamston, with the Rev. Wayne Ellis and the Rev. Leonard Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery.
James Manzie, John Wright, Micheal Foster, Matt Dotson, Larry Ainsley, Matthew Roberts, Scherill Jethro and Derick Payton will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Hardison was born May 11, 1985, in Beaufort County, son of Keith Hardison and Joanie Sprouse Hardison. He was a member of Cedar Branch Baptist Church. Mr. Hardison worked as a mechanic and a caregiver. He graduated from Jamesville High School and attended Martin Community College. Mr. Hardison was married to Samantha Waters Hardison.
Survivors in addition to his parents and wife are a son, Logan Jacob Hardison of the home; a brother, Bruce Hardison of Jamesville; two sisters, Brittany Hardison of Jamesville and Shelby Hewitt of Grimesland; his paternal grandparents, Becky and Larry Hardison of Jamesville; his maternal grandfather, Robert Sprouse Sr. of Jamesville; and his birth father, Bruce Hewitt of Grimesland.
Mr. Hardison was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Jane Sprouse.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at Walker Funeral Home in Williamston and other times at the home.
