Mr. Edward “Harry” Cushing, 93, of 431 E. Main St., Washington, died Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Ridgewood Manor.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pinewood Memorial Park with the Rev. Carter Askren officiating.
Mr. Cushing was born April 14, 1915, in Manchester, N.H. His parents were the late Edward and Alma Nelson Cushing. On April 6, 1935, he married Mabel Reinertsen, who preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 1978. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Cushing served as the mayor of Grimesland.
Survivors include two daughters, Arlene C. Hagar and Joanne C. Dramstad, both of Washington, and three sons, Ronald Cushing of Midlothian, Va., Douglas Cushing of Bath and Glenn Cushing of Washington.
Cushing was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol C. Gentile; one sister, Cora C. Carlson; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. today at Bayleaf Plantation, 1120 Cowell Farm Road, Washington.
