MURFREESBORO, NORTH CAROLINA — Dolores “Dee” F. McClenney, 63, died Monday, April 28, 2008 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville. She had been preceded in death by a brother, Henry Berger.
A devoted wife and mother, she was an avid gardener who enjoyed caring for the many birds who visited her yard. In her life, she touched many hearts.
Survivors include her husband, William B. McClenney of their home; two sons, Joe McClenney and his wife, Sherrie of Winterville and Hank and his wife, Stacey, of Washington; one daughter, Rhonda McClenney of Conway; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Berger of Wyoming and Kenny Berger of North Dakota; and one sister, Connie Nelson of North Dakota.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, 2 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro with Rev. Arthur Warren presiding.
The family will be receiving friends at their home and have requested that anyone wishing to share a memorial gift, may do so to the American Cancer Society, 4600 East West Highway, Suite 525, Bethesda, MD 20814 (specify pancreatic research).
