Mr. Woodrow Wilson “Woody” Swain Jr., 41, formerly of Columbia, died Friday, May 2, 2008, in Brattleboro, Vt., where he had lived for the past several years.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bryan Services’ Columbia Community Chapel with the Rev. Joe Wynns officiating. Burial will follow in Azalea Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Swain was born in Chowan County on June 24, 1966. He was the son of Ella Hassell Swain and the late Woodrow Wilson Swain. He worked as a machine operator with a paper factory in Vermont.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Bryan Services’ Columbia Community Chapel and other times at the home of his mother, 1802 Secota Village, Columbia.
