Mrs. Priscilla Moore Williams, 83, of 1217 Core Point Road, Blounts Creek, died Monday, May 5, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Moore’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Bonnerton community, Aurora, with the Rev. Clinton Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born in Beaufort County on July 15, 1924. She was the daughter of the late George A. and Clorah S. Moore. She attended the Beaufort County Schools. She pursued a career in nursing and was employed with Britthaven of Washington prior to her retirement. She was married to Daniel L. Williams Jr., who survives. She was a member of Unity Chapter No. 566, Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of Moore’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as Mother Deaconess. She was an active participant of the Middle District Union and the Old Eastern Missionary Baptist Association.
The family will receive friends at the home. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
A walk-in visitation will be held today from 1-7 p.m. at Whitfield &Whitley Funeral Home, Washington.
