Mr. Ed Wilson Hilton, 63, of 4338 Gray Road, Chocowinity, died Monday, May 12, 2008, at home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, with Derik Davis and William Bell officiating.
Mr. Hilton was born in Beaufort County on Dec. 1, 1944. He was the son of the late Avery Von Hilton Sr. and Lou Ellen Hales Hilton. He attended Chocowinity High School and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. On Dec. 24, 1964, he married the former Edna C. Wetherington, who survives. He worked as an A operator at PCS Phosphate Co. in Aurora for 30 years until his health forced his retirement in 1998. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Chocowinity.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Lester Hilton and Avery Von Hilton Jr.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home, Washington, and other times at the home.
