Mr. Jerry Williams, 65, of the Ham’s Crossroads community, Greenville, died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Wilkerson Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. James Gurkins officiating. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Williams was born in Pitt County, the son of the late Isaac and Sadie Williams. He was married to Jackie Williams, who survives. He was employed by Grady White Boats for a number of years and by Brown and Root Construction at Texas Gulf in Aurora for several years. Prior to his retirement due to ill health, he did boat repair at his home. He was a member of Black Jack Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Vivian Elks Holloman of Grimesland.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Greenville, and other times at the home of his sister, 5929 Elks Road, Grimesland.
