Ms. Mattie Elizabeth Boyd, 82, of 112 Slatestone Road, Washington, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Stephens Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Best officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.
Ms. Boyd was born in Bath. She was a member of St. Stephens Free Will Baptist Church, where she was an usher.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Maxine Johnson of Portsmouth, Va., and Donna Rae Bush of Washington; three sons, James “Buddy” Boyd of Laurinburg, George Boyd of Rochester, N.Y., and Phillip J. Boyd of Newburg, N.Y.; one sister, Isabelle Whitaker of Washington; 13 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home. Viewing will take place today from 2-8 p.m. at Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington.
