Mr. Myles “Nelson” Baker, 60, of Bakertown Road, Windsor, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Capeharts Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Ray Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Anthony Cobb, Chad Cobb, Chris Cobb, Jeffrey Bass, Travis Hardison, Kevin Daughety and JR Blackmon will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Baker was born Dec. 21, 1947. He was the son of the late Myles Stanley Baker and Raycene Baker. He lived most of his life in Bertie County. He was a member of Capeharts Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include three sisters, Brenda Cobb and Deborah Daniel, both of Windsor, and Lorriane Bass of Edenton.
The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the funeral and other times at his home, 410 Bakertown Road, Windsor.
