Mrs. Helen Moore Windley of 327 Rebel Road, Washington, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Beaufort County Hospital.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Loving Union Freewill Baptist Church with Bishop A.H. Hartsfield officiating. Burial will follow in Whootentown Cemetery.
Mrs. Windley was born Nov. 4, 1919, in Beaufort County. Her parents were the late William and Effie Peele Windley. In 1940, she graduated from the Beaufort County Schools. Mrs. Windley was married to Mayshack Windley, who preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 1996.
Survivors include one daughter, Arlene Windley of the home.
Mrs. Windley had four brothers, Lockwood Moore, William Moore Sr., James Francis Moore and John F. Moore, and three sisters, J. Thelma Moore, Emma Reese and Anna Leigh, to precede her in death.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
The body will be in the church one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are by Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington.
