Mr. John Patrick Colt, age 44, of 415 E. 10th St., Washington, died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at his home.
John was born in Denver, CO, October 10, 1963 to the late Richard Niles Colt and Karen Grimes Colt/Pasternack. He was a graduate of Hemet High School in Hemet, CA and went on to Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA where he received his degree in early childhood development. He served in the United States Navy. John was a gifted and extreme athlete in the sports of skiing, snowboarding, surfing and diving which he did with the USA and American high dive teams in the United States and Europe. He was also a five star chef.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa White Colt of the home; one daughter, Marley Amelia Colt of Eden, UT; one step daughter, Cady Elizabeth Alexandra of Atlanta, GA; his mother, Karen Colt/Pasternack of Denver, CO; one sister, Kelly Marie Montegna and husband Paul Michael Montegna of Riverside, CA; one niece, Alexa Marie Montegna and one nephew, Joshua Niles Montegna.
A private committal service was held at Paul Funeral Home of Washington, Monday, June 2, 2008 and was conducted by Rev. Carter Askren.
