Mrs. Nettie Bell Whitley Horrell, age 82, a resident of 245 South Fifth Street, Apt. 203 Aurora, N.C. died Wednesday June 4, 2008 at her home.
A funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Friday June 6, 2008 at the Edward Christian Church with Pastor David Linton officiating. Burial will follow in the Edward Christian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Horrell was born on March 2, 1926 daughter of the late William Ardie Whitley and Edna Mae Jones Whitley. She was a homemaker and a member of Edward Christian Church.
Mrs. Horrell is survived by one daughter: Bell Summerlin of Aurora, two granddaughters: Dr. Michelle Baker Gordon of Montrose, Colo., and Christol Summerlin of Raleigh, two great-grandchildren: Collin Gordon and Lillian Gordon, and one sister: Mildred Earp of Spring Hope. Mrs. Horrell was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Our beloved Ma Ma will be missed.
The family will receive friends on Thursday June 5, 2008 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Edward Christian Church and other times at the home of her daughter located at 245 South Fifth Street Apt. 202 Aurora, N.C.
