Mr. William “Bud” Daniels

Mr. William Harold “Bud” Daniels, native son of North Carolina, passed away from this life on June 2, 2008 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Bud was born in Bath, North Carolina in 1932. He lived in the Douglas Crossroads community as a young man. Bud graduated from Bath High School in 1952 and attended Roanoke Bible College in Elizabeth City.
Bud served in the ministry for several years before moving to Phoenix in 1954 for health reasons. He received both a BS and a Master’s Degree from Southwest Christian Seminary. Bud also attended Arizona State University. He met and married June West and shared 48 years of marriage, having one son, James.
Bud taught elementary school in Phoenix for 13 years and was a small-business owner. Throughout his 54 years in Phoenix, Bud maintained strong ties to the Washington area.
Survivors include his wife, June; his son, James and his wife, Rebecca; four wonderful grandchildren he both loved and adored (they were the light of his life) Shelby, Emma, Liberty and Ronin; his sister, Christine Hardison and her husband, John of Sidney Crossroads, his aunts, Bonnie Boyd, Margie Keel and her husband, Clayton all of Washington; many cousins; his mother, Samantha West of Phoenix; and brother-in-law, Ray West and his wife, Kathy of Phoebe, Miss.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2008 at Paul Funeral Home, Washington. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.
Bud held a special love for Roanoke Bible College. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers donations be made in his name to Roanoke Bible College, 715 North Poindexter Street, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
