Don A. Wayne, 61, of Arapahoe, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Duke University Hospital.
He was a member of Rainbow Masonic Lodge #479 as well as a member of the Pamlico County Shrine Club and Sudan Temple. He retired from PCS Phosphate with 40 years of service. His grandchildren affectionately knew him as “Papa Don.” He was an avid golfer as well as a Harley Davidson enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sadler Wayne; daughter, Julie Wayne Tanner of Olympia; brother, Glen Wayne and wife, Dot, of Olympia; three grandchildren, Mehgan, Taylor Wayne &Kaylin Tanner; mother-in-law, Louise McCotter Sadler.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 14th at Bryant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Penny Dollar Farmer officiating. A private burial will be in held in Hollywood cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home.
