Mr. Mitchell Lane Woolard, age 57, a resident of 382 Alger Ln., Washington, died Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Beaufort County Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Alligood Church of God and will be conducted by Pastor Phillip Jethro. Burial will follow at Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Phillip Lee Jr., Chubby Woolard, Bobby Gray Woolard, Preston Alligood, Chad Pinkham, Dustin Pinkham, Jerry Alligood and Gary Wayne Woolard will serve as pallbearers. Terry Woolard, A.D. Walker, Michael Norman, Michael Gerard and the employees of Mid-Atlantic Hydraulics and Machine will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Woolard was born in Beaufort Co. on September 21, 1950, to the late Leon Gray Woolard and Lenora Rae Woolard Toler who survives. On March 6, 1970, he married Patricia Elaine Morris who survives. He was the owner of Mid-Atlantic Hydraulics and Machine. He enjoyed Jazz and Gospel music, playing the guitar, piano and playing golf. Mr. Woolard was a member of the Alligood Church of God. He had a great love for his family and friends and a special love for his granddaughter that will soon be born. He was also a member of the Southern Dismal Wildlife Hunting Club.
Survivors include his wife Patricia of the home, two sons, Keith Gray Woolard and wife Katie of Washington, James Ray Woolard of Washington, two brothers, Randy Paul Woolard and wife Peggy of Washington, Sterling Woolard and wife Vonnie of Washington, sister Connie Pinkham and husband Wayne of Pinetown and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2008, at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home 382 Alger Ln., Washington.
